The Infinity Symbol and Binary Star Systems

"Hermes. We have already talked about the Circle of the Animals. or the life giving one, of the five planets, and the Moon and the Sun, and of the Circle of each one of these."

"Her. Beneath the Circle of this frame are ranged the Six and thirty Decans, between this Circle of the Universe  and that one of the Animals, determining the boundaries of both these Circles. and, as it were, holding that of the Animal aloft up in the air, and so defining it.
They share the motion of the planetary Spheres and [yet] have equal powers with that of the whole."

Astronomynow.com

This refers to the  astronomical system of underlying the Pythagoreo - Platonic traditions, as, for instance, set forth allegorically and symbolically by Plato in the famous passage in The Timaeus (36bc) "The entire compound he divided lengthways into two parts, which he joined to one another at the centre like the letter X, and bent them into a circular form, connecting them with themselves and each other at the point opposite to their original meeting point; and , comprehending them in a uniform revolution upon the same axis, he made the one the outer and the other the inner circle. Now the motion of the outer Circle he called the motion of the same, and the motion of the inner circle the motion of the other or diverse." (Jowett's Translation iii. 454, 455) The X symbolizes the "crosswise," which in terms of motion may be translated into "inverse to".

This is just a theory I hastly pasted together, but it felt so right. It came to me while I was reading through, "Thrice Greatest Hermes - Vol. 3  Excerpt IX. 'Of the Stars'. I saw, "he made the one the outer and the other the inner circle.", among other things, and thought " that kinda sounds like a binary solar system."

Being low on time right now I will let this idea brew for a couple days until I can do more research. This could also just have to do with the movement of the sun through the year. Creating the shape we use for Infinity. We shall see, tho, what I can come up with.

On top of this, we also see a serious understanding about the working of the Cosmos.

How we were taught people thought the earth was flat, I do not know....

Overlaping of the mind and reality

Operating beyond the material and spending more time inside one's mind brings about peace, wisdom, and understanding. The world has pushed , to the limits, this material world. This has been happening since we lost touch with our mind and spirit. For thousand years or more the people of the world have failed to suceed to a level of understanding and unity. This is cultural insanity, this repeating of the same process, experiences, thoughts over and over for generations with no different outcome but war and excess and..... Do you understand what I am saying? This has to stop before we have nothing left but a dead earth and dead hearts. Resistances have occurred but were smashed by dogmatic laws of the church. Even today attempt are made to assassinate the pursuit of The Nature of the Divine, which is a birth right to all Humans. So, I am saying to go inside your mind. Be at peace. Explore your subconscious. You will be amazed what can be unlocked with practice. Remember the imagination when you were a kid? You could make a stuffed bear into a god like protector and it felt so real. Get back to those roots in your mind. Now, on to why I mention this.

Before I was "awakened", or whatever name you want to give to it, I was blinded to the aether or spirit that surrounded me everyday in nature and ect.. Now, for example, when driving down a back road in the countryside, I can feel the breath in everything. My mind and visual reality overlap each other, for lack of a better term. This gives a day dream like effect of me feeling and seeing the animated life energy that flows up through the grass, and through the trunks of the trees, shooting through the vascular like branches to the leaves and out towards the heavens. It is not that I think this is god essence I am seeing. I just sense my mind is in touch with the electrons and atoms which are surrounded by the Divine "Net" of The Good that holds the Cosmos in place.

It is what brought Light for vision to my eyes, and what brought vibrations on the wind to fill my ears. Truth. That which does not change.

Magician Major Arcana Card (Tarot)

Or, the Hermes Card...

The number of 1 the Planet of Mercury and the letter Bet represent this card.
The Magician is Mercury, his name given by the Romans, or Hermes, the God of Logos, Gnosis and many more thing. He is Thrice Great in his undertaking of The Good.

The Master Magician has the knowledge of duality. He knows to awaits the battles end, when the men have fully expressed their anger. He brings the two opposites, or opposing sides, to peace with each other balancing chaos. This can be expressed as a metaphor for mind and body, male and female, good and evil. Understanding this process helps excel one to the next step in the their Works for The Good.

He, also, understands the Oroburos Snake, or the symbol of the snake eating its own tale, and, that of, infinity; the Magician fully understanding the Logos behind self reflection and rebirth. Time is relative to each persons perceived material "reality". Knowing the ancients were well adapted to planetary tracking, and that they considered them to represent the movement of the God(s) he is able to see the divinity in the Zodiac. The Zodiac, being an archetype of Gods such as Cronus (Khronos) and Osiris, charts life, death and events that peoples lives depended on. For example, the rising of Sirius marked the flooding of the Nile when, according to Egyptian Myth, Osiris's body decayed and water flowed from his corpse. The Zodiac also marks the solstices and Equinoxes along with many other important things.

Energies and their uses and sources are another Logos grasped by the Magician along with the Elements. He has control over creative and spiritual energies. He has searched scripture for the understanding of life and the Cosmos, He is a mystic and a priest hunting for more wisdom of the Elemental makeup of the soul and God(s). He is a constant student delving into the origins of man and trying to define that which is Divine in forms such as the Ogdoad and Tree of life. When looked at as Hermes/Thoth, he is the creator of these things putting the words on the tongue of RA and weighing the heart of the Pharaohs. Thoth/Hermes understands the workings of the heaven and the earth, and he is the net that supports the atoms which make up the Cosmos. You can see him working though my fingertips to put these sentences on this page. He is the quests end for the Magician. He is the Magician.

 A Hermetic Apotheosis

"For when the soul once knows the Author of its peace, tis filled with wondrous love, and forgetfulness of everything ill, and can no longer keep from The Good."

"Fragments from the Books of Hermes to his Son Tat" Patrizzi - Strobaeus.
vol.3 "Thrice Greatest Hermes" G.R.S Mead (1906) London. 'Excerpt. 1 Of Piety and [true] Philosophy'

Opening the 3rd volume of Meads excellent Work I come across this excerpt of Hermes talking to Tat. Telling him that when the soul knows its author of peace, tis filled with wondrous love. I think on this for a little bit, and I can see constant connections to this statement in humanity. We search for that God archetype to have something that describes our Logos and Soul. Something that represents it, and when we find it we are at peace, and it is wondrous love.

A short essay on the Merger of Hermetic Tradition into Christianity

(Hermes left Christ right)

(Beautiful Hermetic Art containing deep truths>>)

You may have come across the movie "Zeitgeist" on Netflix or watch something similar on Youtube claiming that Christianity "forged" all their documents from ancient source material from Babylon, Egypt ect. Thinking on this you might wonder where they obtained this knowledge from? And why did they leave out something so important I am about to touch on. Did the Christians go around the world and hunt down ideas from other cultures theologies and mythologies to put together the Bible? I would say no to this. In fact the answer can be summed up in 2 words, and they are Hermetic Tradition.

You see, during the time of the birth of Christianity, as a religion, the Hermetic and Gnostic Christians shared similar philosophies on God, The One, The all being, The Creator of time, space, and the cosmos. This time period was a vacuum for Mystical, Theological, and Philosophical ideas, as the old dynasty had fallen allowing a new philosophy on God to arise. The Corpus Hermeticum and all writing related Hermes the Thrice Great were deeply intrenched in the readings of the Gnostic Christian Theologians, Philosophers, and Priests/Monks. Noe-Platonic and Pythagorean concepts were also ingested. These teaching included those of Thoth, of Egyptian Myth, and of Hermes or Hermas and Hermes Trismegistus ( Signature used by followers not a "real" person. An archetype). The texts are the origin of As above, So below, to paraphrase, which is similar in concept to "On earth, as it is in Heaven". I did no set out to write this as a way to convince anyone of anything, so I am going to keep the examples of "forgery" to a limit. The loss of the Library of Alexandria has left us with a small amount of these text but there depth is great and they contain much Gnosis of the cosmos. The teaching can be seen in those of Jesus or Y'shua.

The "Church Fathers", as Mead calls them in Thrice Greatest Hermes Vol.1, Passed on this Gnosis which found its self in the central teaching of the New Testament. Christianity, being the winner in the early battle for dominance, ended up pushing its distant cousin, aside and below. Even stooping to demonize Hermetic Work. It is unfortunate that we live in a world were opinions cannot be open when it comes to God. That was, and is, the future The Hermetic Tradition passed on for us to build. It is a never ending Work to better all. It is what Hermes Trismegistus represents. He is in all of us and everything that surrounds us with no dogmas attached.
